ASUSNW-FAQ: [Sync] How to setup smart sync with ASUS web storage

Smart sync is an incredible software feature on ASUS AiCloud enabled routers, it helps you to sync up all your datas to online public cloud like web storage , dropbox even FTP server.

And here are the steps to setup smart sync with ASUS web storage:

1.Goto http://router.asus.com and enable cloud disk
It's an important step, because you need to plug a external USB hard drive to ASUS router, and enable cloud disk, the sync path will be located on this disk.

2. Enable smart sync and add a sync profile

After you enabled smart sync, you will have to select a smart sync service, in this example, select ASUS web storage.

3. Enter related profile information.
Account and password please enter your web storage account info.
Folder is the path in USB hard drive that you want to sync with web storage.
Rule is that you can choose a way you want to do with web storage:

Sync: Files on both side will stay up to date.
Download to USB disk: Files(include new files added) on web storage will be download to USB hard drive. Files on USB hard drive will NOT be upload to web storage.
Upload to Cloud: Instead of download to USB disk, files will be upload to web storage and will NOT download anything to USB hard drive.

And a very important concept of sync is the selected path on USB hard drive will sync all files on your web storage root path, you cannot select a specific path on web storage to sync.
